We are taking a break from the end of August 2023 till the end of March 2024, this is to recharge, reskill and rebrand.
This will not affect any courses that are already booked, though we will not be taking any new bookings during this period.
See you soon.

PERFORMANCE MTB UK...who are we?
We are husband and wife team Andy & Nik along with our longtime friend Steve, who joined us at the end of 2021.
We are extremely passionate about all things MTB-related. We have over 10 years of experience in coaching sports and providing mentorship.
We know what it is like to lack confidence and not know where to seek help or guidance, mountain biking has a lot of myths and there is so much going on that it can seem very confusing and daunting.
We started PMTBUK as we believe in Sport for All, that everyone should be able to get the most enjoyment they can out of their riding, have the opportunity to develop, grow, and #bethebestyoucan. It doesn’t matter what you ride, it’s how you ride that matters.
We've been through the same feelings, emotions, and learning curve too, which is why we pride ourselves on providing simple, structured, fun, no-nonsense skills coaching, to help you develop and improve your skills so you can enjoy riding more and #bethebestyoucan.
We combine running PMTB with our day jobs, and for the time being all PMTB courses are run at the weekend, some weekdays, and some weekday evenings.

I have been a coach for 5 years after my eldest got so much out of being coached by Andy. I have predominantly worked with the young riders at Bolsover and District Cycling Club Go-Ride, but have always leaned towards off-road, whether that be on my Cyclocross bike or the mountain bike.
Most of my riding is done on routes around the bridleways and trails in North East Derbyshire and the trails around Sherwood Pines. My favorite route is Robinhoods Way between Creswell Crags and Clumber Park.
My passion in coaching is getting riders set up with all the tools they will need to tackle any obstacle, whether that be a child who has just learned to pedal or an adult wanting to step up to some racing and anything in between. For me there is no greater thrill than seeing someone tackle something after looking at it, doubting they can do it, and then breaking it down into easy steps.
Hopefully, see you on the trails soon.
